The announcement and letter of congratulations on Ingpen's Hans Christian Anderson Award, from the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY), is in this series, together with his acceptance speech. Correspondents include Patricia Wrightson, Geoffrey Dutton, Dick Smith, G.L. Kesteven, Louis Lothian, Ena Noel, Maurice Saxby, Colin Thiele and Faith Bandler. Other publishers' correspondence is in series 2 and 3.
