Containers:
Folio-Box 14 (MS Acc12.019)
Component identifier:
File 764
Content Summary:
The letter is mainly about the copyright of Waltzing Matilda. RM recommends that now they've completed the ABC Big Country documentary Diana Baillieu and Joan Macrae should register copyright of Waltzing Matilda in the USA. He further suggests they should then sign over the rights to him. He says he doesn't want to make money out of the rights but wants the rights to help with a Waltzing Matilda project. He claims that he registered the Bartlam (Tasmania) manuscript in the U.S. He says he can't get rights from the AB Patterson estate and claims 'Banjo's' daughters have (on film) credited Christina Macpherson for the manuscript.
