Content Summary:

For 30 weeks each year from 2004-2007 Moffatt Oxenbould was engaged by ABC Classic FM to prepare and present Opera programs on Sunday night on Classic FM - an hour long magazine program followed by a complete opera broadcast.

Subsequently he was invited to prepare and record opera heritage programs on various Australian operatic artists - involving interviews, reminiscences and recorded performances. Subjects included Richard Bonynge, Lauris Elms, Robert Allman, Robert Gard, June Bronhill, Joan Carden and Peter Coleman-Wright.

After the death of Dame Joan Sutherland in 2010 he was asked to prepare and present two programs - a personal tribute and reminiscence and a program about Dame Joan's Australian repertoire.

Moffatt Oxenbould was trained at NIDA (Production Course) in 1961 and 1962. He later served as a member of NIDA's Board of Studies for fourteen years - and as Chairmen of the Board of Studies between 2001 and 2005.
