Comprising letters, clippings, schedules, printed material, photographs and ephemera relating principally to Moffatt Oxenbould's professional life - initially as Co-ordinator of Planning and then as Personal Assistant to the General Manager of the Australian Opera in a landmark year for opera in Australia. In March Moffatt Oxenbould's new production of Puccini's Trittico opened in Melbourne's Princess Theatre, and in the same month John Winther became the Company's General Manager. In May Moffatt Oxenbould travelled to Copenhagen for a week of "briefing" the new General Manager about the Australian Opera's history, structure and personnel. The year's focus was on the opening season in the Sydney Opera House in September/October.
