Comprising papers, photographs and ephemera relating specifically to Moffatt Oxenbould's "farewell" year from Opera Australia. Although he had officially given up the position of Artistic Director of the Company at the end of 1999, he remained for significant periods of 2000 to direct and revive productions and oversee projects he had put in place as Artistic Director. For the Olympic Arts Festival in Sydney he directed Opera Australia's new production of Simon Boccanegra, conducted by Simone Young, who was to succeed him as the Company's artistic leader in 2001.
