Valantyne Napier and Ted Weeks performed together as Vine Valantyne in vaudeville, revue and pantomime during their successful international career. Valantyne Napier was the daughter of the famous English contortionist Hector Napier and his Australian wife, dancer Dorothy Yvonne Cartledge. She worked to entertain troops during World War 2 as part of a female troupe called the Gaiety Girls, and was known for her highly flexible joints and poise as a dancer.
