June Bronhill OBE (26 June 1929 - 24 January 2005) was an internationally acclaimed Australian soprano opera singer. She was born June Mary Gough in Broken Hill, New South Wales. Bronhill was a stage name which she used from 1952. It was an abbreviation of Broken Hill, which was her way of thanking her home town for its support in raising money to send her overseas for professional training as a singer.
