Component identifier:
Content Summary:
Rose Cambry was an Australian popular singer and vaudeville performer who initially appeared on the stage as half of the Cambry Sisters, or Cambry Sister Soubrettes. Newspaper reports of their Australian performances suggest that they were known for singing and dancing, as well as for performing comedic and slightly risque songs. Rose Cambry then appeared alone as a comic burlesque performer in England and later married, and changing her name to Mrs Rose Myer. (Information from digitised newspapers on TROVE, and a 1911 broadside from the Ilford Hippodrome in National Library of Australia's collection.) Link to catalogue record.
