Henry Clive (1882-1960) was an Australian-born vaudevillian magician, painter and magazine illustrator. He traveled the world as a magician, billed as "Clive the Illusionist", "The Great Clive" and "Debonair Magician." In the United States he was a leading illustrator of magazines and film posters, and also worked with Charlie Chaplin in Hollywood. His popularity as an artist/illustrator increased during the 1920s, and by the 1930s he was famous as a regular cover artist for William Randolph Hearst's The American Weekly.
