Charles Wicks (1900-1967) was an inventor and developer of magic tricks and equipment. In 1920 he helped found the Melbourne branch of the Australian Society of Magicians (A.S.M.), and in 1925, the Australian Magicians Association. He later established the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) in Australia. He served as President of the A.S.M. from 1946 to 1950, and established and edited their monthly magazine, Magic Makers. He travelled overseas on buying trips for his firm, "Decorative Trimming Company", and took up movie film making, was President of the Amateur Cine Society in Melbourne.
