David Worrall (born 25 October 1954 in Newcastle NSW) is an Australian composer, research scientist and sound artist working in sound sculpture and immersive polymedia (a term he coined in 1986) as well as traditional instrumental music composition. His creative practice encompasses instrumental and electroacoustic composition, sound poetry and sound installations including those that utilise PIPES (Portable Immersive Polymedia Event Spaces), sometimes referred to as Portable Event Theatres (PETs).
