- Gregory Yurisich is one of the world's leading baritones. He was born on October 13, 1951 in Mount Lawley, Western Australia as Gregory John Yurisich. He was awarded the A.M. (Member of the Order of Australia) in the 2006 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to the performing arts as an operatic baritone and to the education and mentoring of young singers. "Perth-born Gregory Yurisich studied in Australia and joined the Australian Opera, making his debutas Paolo in 'Simon Boccanegra'. For his Canadian debit he was Marcello in 'La Boheme'.
