This small series contains lists of subjects to be submitted by the Commonwealth for discussion at the Conference and memoranda by the Commonwealth Government on the unification of railway gauges, social legislation, health, development of power resources, gold mining, observance of ANZAC Day, Aboriginal reservations, migration, life assurance, uniformity of voting methods, conventions of the International Labour Organisation, fur-bearing rabbits, survey maps, uniform legislation concerning fertilizers and pure seeds, execution of documents outside Australia, and the registration of Commonwealth titles to land. There are also documents on Empire markets, and industrial laws and reports of the Commonwealth Transport Committee and the Overseas Shipping Conference.

- Immediate source of acquisition:
- The bulk of the collection was presented to the National Library by Sir John Latham in December 1963, a few months before his death. In November 1974 the Library purchased some further papers from a secondhand book dealer. They comprised family letters and photographs, some diaries and papers relating to the High Court. These papers have been amalgamated into the original collection.
