This small series contains a few letters concerning the Committee on the Constitutional Structure of the United Nations, set up by the International Bar Association in 1953, including Latham's comments on the Committee's draft report. There are also Latham's 1953 Roy Milne Memorial Lecture on open diplomacy, issues of United Nations News, J. Pinder's United Nationsreform; proposals for Charter amendment (1953) and the agenda and report of the United Nations Charter Revision Convention at Sydney in October 1954.

- Immediate source of acquisition:
- The bulk of the collection was presented to the National Library by Sir John Latham in December 1963, a few months before his death. In November 1974 the Library purchased some further papers from a secondhand book dealer. They comprised family letters and photographs, some diaries and papers relating to the High Court. These papers have been amalgamated into the original collection.
