In this series are typescripts of articles by Latham on industrial relations (1952) and Australian government (1958) and a broadcast on the death of King George VI (1952); an address by G. Anderson entitled 'Astrology, charlatans and dupes'; typescript and handwritten verse, mostly of a humorous kind; a deed of partnership concerning the property of Bonna Vonna in Queensland (1938); notes on various subjects which Latham sent to the Government during World War II; notes on the 1943 elections; and postcards.

Miscellaneous photographs in Folder 6 include two group portraits taken at Officer Training School, Broadmeadows, December 1915-January 1916 and Billy Hughes unveiling the Cross of Sacrifice at Bonnay Cemetery, France, 1921.

Comprises Files 1-6 (Items 1-101). Items in Folder 6 have not been numbered.

Immediate source of acquisition:
The bulk of the collection was presented to the National Library by Sir John Latham in December 1963, a few months before his death. In November 1974 the Library purchased some further papers from a secondhand book dealer. They comprised family letters and photographs, some diaries and papers relating to the High Court. These papers have been amalgamated into the original collection.
