Content Summary:
This Series contains material that is written by a variety of authors on many different economic topics, such as interest rates, foreign trade, and economic conditions. There are papers which were presented at the Marysville Conference in 1957 by authors, such as R.I. Downing, C.L. Burns and Gerald Packer. Several addresses that were given by Dean Stanley F. Teele on 'Accelerated change' in 1960 are also contained in this series. Other papers of an economic nature contained in this series are written by various authors such as Benjamin Anderson, H.A. Burton and Donald C. MacGregor. Volumes 1 and 2 of Professor M.T. Copeland's Business Policy II are also held, as is a copy of G. Baker's Losses in Finance (1930). There is also a substantial number of papers about the International Finance Corporation and Development Association during 1963 and 1964. This series also holds a large number of papers, such as those by W.L. Buckland, written between 1929 and 1933, which are concerned with economic issues of the Depression. There are also papers by S.R. Peabody about the economic conditions in the U.S. during 1929-1932.
Immediate source of acquisition:
Lady Copland presented the personal papers of Sir Douglas Copland to the National Library in September 1973. Additions to the collection were received from the Copland Family between 1977 and 1981.
