The Second British Commonwealth Relations Conference was held at the Lapstone Hotel, Glenbrook, in September 1938. It was organised by institutes of international relations in the United Kingdom, Canada, India, the Irish Free State, and Australia. Copland attended this Conference as one of the Australian Institute's delegates.
Into Series 32 have been sorted the few records in the Copland papers on the Lapstone Conference. It includes correspondence with W.D. Forsyth, officials of the Australian and Royal Institutes of International Relations, reports by Conference 'Rapporteurs', summaries of Conference data papers and some excellent photographs. The series also has a copy of Copland's data paper 'Monetary policy in Australia' (Series B, no. 4) and another paper, which he co-authored with ? Dyer and G. Parker called 'Self-sufficiency in Australian defence'. There is also a report to the Conference by K.H. Bailey.

- Lady Copland presented the personal papers of Sir Douglas Copland to the National Library in September 1973. Additions to the collection were received from the Copland Family between 1977 and 1981.
