Content Summary:

Noonan began his career in radio during the time when it was the principal medium of entertainment in Australia. In 1944-1957 Noonan wrote hundreds of episodes for radio serials and numerous radio plays.

The series comprises scripts written by Noonan, some with supporting papers. The scripts are arranged roughly chronologically. There are also 2 reels of 'An old lady goes upstairs' (Caltex Theatre, 1952).

Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers were acquired by the Library from Michael Noonan in three instalments in 1979, 1992 and 1998.
