-
Blue cloth, with device of Cupid in lower right corner of cover. Complete with dust-jacket, with title The sentimental bloke designed by Thompson, who has also supplied drawings throughout the text. The verso of title-page states:

First published in England, 1936.
The dust-jacket announces: 'We here present the first English edition of Mr C.J. Dennis's classic, The sentimental bloke. The book contains the Montenaeken poem, also the Preface by C.J. Dennis to the fifty-first thousand, and the Preface by Henry Lawson. The illustrations by Thompson, of which there are 14, add little interest to the book, and the artist has missed the point in his illustration to 'The Stoush O'Day'. The glossary in this edition has the readings 'Top, off one's' and 'Top off, to'.
