Content Summary:

This copy has long inscription written in by Hal Gye, dated 1952. He writes of his friendship with Louis Esson and their visits to the Chinese cafes in Melbourne. He also mentions a recent visit to Spadger's Lane, and the changes in the environment.

All the preceding copies have the end-papers designed by Hal Gye.

A number of copies of Ginger Mick were issued in the Pocket Edition bound in soft green leather, with the title lettered in gilt on the cover. The contents are similar to the cloth copies.

Immediate source of acquisition:
The collection was purchased from Harry Chaplin in 1981.
