Together with autograph letter, 3pp, from C.J. Dennis to his friend Jerry Waight, 3 March 1936. '...Excuse pencil. But I'm only a poor country yob who knows no better, and my pen is in another room...Thanks for the offer of a par. You might make something of the fact that 'Singing Garden' is receiving much favourable comment from reviewers in England and Scotland. Also I have been lately much surprised to learn from publishers that 'Glugs of Gosh' (written to please myself) had passed 35,000. This (G of G) and S.G. I consider my two best books. Cheerio, Yours, Den.'
