Extra-illustrated across the end-papers. Inscription: 'No. I. Dear Harry Chaplin: See my models, Harry, 'Den's' old dress-suit, tie, collar and hat, but he didn't wear the hat with his tails. I used the dress-suit for my Glug illustrations, and when I'd finished the Glugs I took the coat back to town and used it for my Bulletin drawings. Dave Lowe wrote to me from London, 'I see 'Den's' old tails appearing in the Bully lately. Who said the Sentimental Bloke was not a toff? Yours sincerely, Hal Gye, January 1954'.
