And after he'd been impersonating a Glug up a tree for an hour and a half did the poet speak rudely to his illustrator; said he wanted to scratch his ear and couldn't. Yours sincerely, Hal Gye. January 1954'. Drawing depicts C.J.D. hanging to the branch of a tree in the tail coat.
