'...Then I got back home and a letter from Angus Robertson. No returns. All books out of print...The worst blow of all was Angus Robertson, when there was money about they could never send it until about three months overdue, but when there is no money they can let me know pronto. Damn their eyes!! I knew last July the edition of The bloke had sold out and said to Cousins in a letter that I expected another edition; that was over six months go, so they can't say they are waiting on the printers. They are so long with other stuff and meanwhile a poor widow can starve...'
Subsequently the publishers purchased the copyrights of Dennis's work. When they issued the Collected Dennis it sold very well.
