Brown buckram. With poem by C.J. Dennis, 'Melbourne 1835-1930', printed as a prefatory note. This is accompanied by long inscription by Hal Gye to Chaplin: '...Mathoura Road should bring back many pleasant memories. Did you not, days past, tear down it to catch 'the last'...and again Sir, Mrs C.J. Dennis (Biddy) herself lived in the same Mathoura Road, at one time, corner of Toorak Road. Why, Biddy and Harry, and James and Hal have added to the importance of it. Aye, the fame of it. Yours sincerely, Hal Gye'.
