Files on art subjects maintained by Maie Casey while in India, 1944-46. The papers relate to the Indian Institute of Art in Industry (of which Maie Casey was president, 1945-46), the Exhibition of Bengal Art (Apr. 26-May 3 1945, Government House, Calcutta) and Maie Casey's attempts to organise similar exhibitions in Britain and Australia. Correspondents include Daryl Lindsay and Hal Missingham.
Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers were donated by the Casey family in three small instalments in 1971, 1973 and 1980 and one large instalment in 1996.
