This series comprises materials arising from and relating to Del Re's time in Japan from 1927 to 1954. It reflects his interest in the cultural and educational aspects of Japan and Japanese history, Japanese higher education, social problems of the artist and historian, poetry and the Occupation of Japan. A special inclusion in this series is a galley proof of The happy otherworld.
Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers of Arundel Del Re were purchased by the Library in 1984 from his daughter, Dianora Del Re.
