- These notes include recollections about H.V. Evatt's attitude to Ball. The typed diary which follows begins at 'Friday, 5th April, 1946 (Contd.)' and ends with 'Thursday, January 9th, 1947', covering Ball's period in Japan. Included with the diary are copies of telegrams between the Allied Council for Japan and the Australian Government as well as a typed news statements by Ball.
