Content Summary:
Various papers, notes and reference documents related to Canberra planning. In 1992 Giurgola was engaged as a consultant with the National Capital Planning Authority to be a special adviser on the Parliamentary Zone. He also later served on the Griffin Legacy Advisory Panel and maintained a close and active interest in Canberra planning matters during his period of residence in the city.
Immediate source of acquisition:
This collection arrived at the National Library in multiple consignments. The first consignment arrived in 2022 and comprises Boxes 1-47. The second consignment arrived in 2023 and comprises Boxes 48-66 and Rolls 1-28. Photographic material was also received with the second consignment; this material has not yet been processed and is not yet reflected in the collection's finding aid.
