Content Summary:
Luxury beach residence of 720m² designed for a private client on a hillside location overlooking the beach. The design intentionally gives the house a modest, landscaped frontage to the street, and "steps" the bulk of the house along the receding hillside to reduce obstruction of views from surrounding properties and integrate the structure within the landscape. Design Partner for the final design: Richard Francis-Jones.
Immediate source of acquisition:
This collection arrived at the National Library in multiple consignments. The first consignment arrived in 2022 and comprises Boxes 1-47. The second consignment arrived in 2023 and comprises Boxes 48-66 and Rolls 1-28. Photographic material was also received with the second consignment; this material has not yet been processed and is not yet reflected in the collection's finding aid.
