- Project initiated by prominent members of the Italian community for cultural activities in Sydney. Located on a 12,000m² tract of land granted by the N.S.W. Government, the proposal combined commercial and retail space with community facilities, a cultural centre, library and exhibition centre radiating from a central colonnaded piazza, the focus of which is a large tower. MGT Architects were not engaged to undertake the project.
- Immediate source of acquisition:
- This collection arrived at the National Library in multiple consignments. The first consignment arrived in 2022 and comprises Boxes 1-47. The second consignment arrived in 2023 and comprises Boxes 48-66 and Rolls 1-28. Photographic material was also received with the second consignment; this material has not yet been processed and is not yet reflected in the collection's finding aid.
