Osmond spent a brief period working for The National Times from June to September 1981. He had been engaged as a specialist writer in historical and literary features but resigned in September 1981 due to differences of opinion with the paper's management over his work assignments.
This series consists of drafts of stories, notes and research material accumulated by Osmond to write his articles.

- The papers were bequeathed to the Library by Warren Osmond and transferred by his partner Juliet Richter in two instalments in December 2000 and August 2001, with the assistance of Cassandra Pybus.
