- This consignment features material collected by Dr Kathrine Reynolds during her research and publication of The Frauenstein Letters: aspects of nineteenth century emigration from the Duchy of Nassau to Australia (2009). There are letters from Christina Schmitt, Eva Leitz, George Muller, Johann Schmitt, Jacob Klein, Katharine Klein, Maria Fuchs and Widow Gietz (including some photocopies). The collection also contains diaries, largely kept by J.J.H. (John) Muller and George Muller, providing descriptions of farming life, the weather, expenditure and travel. There are also two Muller family photograph albums from the c. late 1800s, and assorted documents. Many items includes notes or annotations made by Dr Reynolds.
