This series includes approximately 60 books and periodicals, together with some pamphlets and leaflets. Many are autographed by the authors. The books reveal Fisher's interest in the history and literature of Scotland, the Labour movement, and economics. The pamphlets include tracts by W. M. Hughes, Alfred Deakin, B.R. Wise, W. Pember Reeves, Sir William Lyne, Bruce Smith, and two copies of The Tolpuddle martys autographed by Will Crook.

Only the monographs and periodicals have been individually listed.

Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers were donated to the Library in several instalments by Fisher's family between 1961 and 1990.
