There are also letters and postcards written to Alice by her friends and letters relating to her, sent to her parents by people such as Sir Bernard Heinze and Yehudi Menuhin. In addition, these files contain a few letters from Waten to his wife, Hyrell, written while he was overseas, a few letters from Waten's sister, Fanny.

The Judah Waten Papers were purchased from Judah Waten and his family in six instalments between 1974 and 1986.
