Content Summary:

This series comprises 16 large scrapbooks created by Stivens. There are eight containing cuttings, the bulk of which are on matters relating to art. Other topics include current affairs and politics, together with invitations to functions and other ephemera. The remaining scrapbooks contain cuttings of reviews of Stivens' books , ephemera from a seminar in Townsville in June 1977 and papers relating to the Australian Society of Authors.

Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers were purchased from Stivens in several small instalments from 1971 to 1973 and in one large instalment from Stivens' companion, Juanita Cragen, in 1999.
