- The six cutting albums mainly contain cuttings from newspapers and periodicals, which trace Hutchens' work and career from 1903 to 1965. They discuss many of his compositions and review many of his performances, both as a solo pianist, and as a duo-pianist with Lindley Evans. Also included in the series are some concert programs, a number of which relate to the Frank Hutchens Memorial Scholarship and Frank Hutchens' Memorial Prizes, for the period 1966-1967. Articles written by Hutchens, some letters, and a few photographs also from part of this series.
- Immediate source of acquisition:
- The Hutchens Papers were presented to the National Library by Mrs Joyce Hutchens and were received in three consignments in October 1967, November 1967 and January 1987.
