Negative envelope labelled "68AF: Miscellaneous" containing miniature photographs with labels referring to Mt Wellington, the Big Plain, Moroka River, X-Cut Saw, Cobbler, glaciation etc. Also contains negatives including three showing a sign which reads "Let no-one say it and say it to your shame that all was beauty here until you came". Others show landscapes, hut and cattle. Three negatives show diagrams. None of the negatives correspond to the photos in this envelope.

CSIRO buff envelope labelled "A. Costin" containing photographs and corresponding negatives. Subjects include some landscapes, large dead animal hung on tripod, bridge-like structure, and mountains. Also contains enlargements of two of the photos. Also includes two photographs of landscapes with pegged tape measure possibly marking out transect, numbered 11 and 12, and as plates, enclosed in smaller buff CSIRO envelope labelled "slides not used for copying").

Immediate source of acquisition:
This large and diverse collection was compiled by Alec Costin then organised and catalogued by the eScholarship Research Centre at The University of Melbourne from 2017-2019. The collection was then transferred to the National Library of Australia in 2020.
