Content Summary:

3 sets of colour slides originally housed in a long grey metal Kodaslide box with dividers. Most slides are labelled, dated and/or numbered. These slides were arranged and indexed by a previous archivist. The original index was annotated "A.B. Costin: c/- CSIRO" Canberra: ACT: 60 Slides: [illegible]" and labelled "7".

Set 1: Slides showing images, figures and text. Subjects and locations include, inter alia, controlled burning, Kosciuszko area, effects of grazing and bushfires, Siemen's Hut area, Townsend area, Dainer's Gap area, snow gums.

Set 2: Slides showing images, figures and text. Subjects and locations include, inter alia, Perisher aqueduct, land-slips.

Set 3: Slides showing images, figures and text. Includes four slides showing figures and text.

Immediate source of acquisition:
This large and diverse collection was compiled by Alec Costin then organised and catalogued by the eScholarship Research Centre at The University of Melbourne from 2017-2019. The collection was then transferred to the National Library of Australia in 2020.
