Content Summary:

In 1926, Edwards was appointed Headmaster of Manaro Grammar School in Cooma. Following a decision by Bishop Radford to relocate the school to Canberra, Edwards played a major role in overseeing the construction of the new buildings and the setting up of the school. He was appointed as first Headmaster of the school, which opened in February 1929. This series comprises a small group of miscellaneous papers relating to the school. Included are cuttings about school activities; notes for speeches given by Edwards; a copy of 'Poetry parade', a collection of poetry by students produced as a fund raising effort in 1940, and a typescript copy of the school song, the words and music of which were written by Sir Robert Garran.

A large group of papers relating to Edwards' administration of the school is held in the Canberra Grammar School Archives in Canberra. A copy of the archive's guide to the holdings is included in this series.
