In October 1981 June Helmer approached Maisie with a proposal to publish Russell Drysdale's letters to George Bell, written between 1945 and 1965. After initially agreeing to the project, Maisie decided she did not wish the book to proceed. Included in this series is a photocopy of the edited letters and correspondence with solicitors and Greenhouse Publications relating to the proposed publication.
