- Component identifier:
- Series 3
- Content Summary:
-
Curtis Brown labelled these 'possibles and rejects'. Most files contain unsolicited submissions from writers seeking representation and publication. In most cases the records comprise a letter from the writer and a letter of decline from Curtis Brown. The series does not contain whole manuscripts, which appear to have been returned to the author or disposed of.
Some files contain a more extensive correspondence between the writer and Curtis Brown, such as when the agent offers advice for editing, encouragement or requests submission of future works.
- Immediate source of acquisition:
- The Library purchased the collection from Curtis Brown Australia in July 2007.
