Component identifier:
Series 9
Content Summary:

Comprises correspondence and other papers on the Australian Council for the Arts, the Australian Opera, the Elizabethan Theatre Trust, ABC orchestras and the NSW Conservatorium of Music. Marea had official roles on committees for some organisations, but many of her interactions were in her capacity as an arts critic.

This series has been arranged roughly by organisation and chronologically. Related correspondence can be found in Series 1 and Series 5.

Immediate source of acquisition:
Marea Prerauer's nephew Alyn Tilleard donated the papers to the National Library of Australia in two instalments in 2006 and 2007. The National Library of Australia's Curator of Music Robyn Holmes and music historian Graeme Skinner packed the papers and undertook some arrangement and listing of the collection.
