Papers relating to book reviews written by Stanton/Southall (1970s), typescripts of her writings, and autobiographical notes. A group of notebooks containing diary entries for the period following the death of Southall's granddaughter, Rachel Barber.

- The papers were purchased by the National Library from Ivan Southall in two instalments in 1977 and 1997. Further papers were received in 2008, 2009, 2012,2013, 2015 and 2017.
