The business correspondence is with his publishers, the Australia Council, National Library, the Australian Broadcasting Commission, and the Church of England Boy's Grammar School, Brisbane. Access to Gould's personal correspondence, folders 78-84 is restricted.

- The papers were purchased by the Library in 1982, 1987, 1991, 1997 and 1998. Further papers were added in 2005 and 2011.
