- The series comprises correspondence, notes, cuttings and drafts on various subjects, particularly Geoffrey Blainey and the immigration debate. Reynolds assembled some of the files in the course of his research, while others (eg. London) related to his visits overseas and other activities (eg. examination of postgraduate students). The arrangement of papers within the files has been maintained by the Library.

- The papers were purchased by the Library from Henry Reynolds in 1999. Further papers were added in 2009.
