- As Minister Assisting the Prime Minister on Status of Women (1988-1990), Reynolds took a strong interest in women's reproductive rights. The series comprises photocopies of articles, newsletters of the Women's Electoral Lobby (Australia), cuttings, roneoed end other printed material relating to abortion, the release of RU486 in Australia, the Reproductive Health Alliance, and material on the drug Viagra in Australia. There is also a file containing papers concerning a legal test case, mounted by three men (including a senior public servant, Dr Alex Proudfoot) in 1991, against the Federal Government's 'women only' health program.
- Immediate source of acquisition:
- The original consignment was donated to the National Library by Margaret Reynolds under the Taxation Incentives for the Arts Scheme in 2000. Further papers were added by Margaret Reynolds in 2009.
