The series includes letters of thanks from recipients of the awards for Reynolds' letters of congratulation, research material, a copy of the booklet by Reynolds entitled Women and the Order of Australia, press releases, seminar papers (for example 'Recognition for women in Australia' given at a seminar in July 1991 conducted by the House of Representative Standing Committee on legal and constitutional affairs) and a copy of Reynolds' speech entitled 'Women in politics' given at Parliament in 1991.

- The original consignment was donated to the National Library by Margaret Reynolds under the Taxation Incentives for the Arts Scheme in 2000. Further papers were added by Margaret Reynolds in 2009.
