- This series consists of a miscellany of copies of poetry, plays, scripts, pamphlets, oddments and book extracts. Some of the material in this series appears to have been accumulated by Humble, perhaps for personal interest, inspiration or research. It has been grouped together as potential project material. The series also includes: three substantive thesis sketches from the early 1950s, an exercise book containing handwritten notes on post-tonal music, draft speech notes for the Lyceum Club containing an outline biography, handwritten notes on recording schedules and biographical notes including a copy of the National Library oral history tapes. The series also includes other personal fragments and papers and the 'Notes on a Lifetime', 1995, a final unpublished statement on music. (See also series 11. )

- The papers were donated to the National Library by Mrs Jill Humble in 1999 under the Cultural Gifts Program.
