- Glynn collected numerous papers in the course of his political career and many of these are to be found here, together with his political speeches (handwritten, typescript and printed). There is a suggestion for the preamble of the Constitution, in Glynn's handwriting. The topics include defence, the tariff, federation, immigration (extracts from debates on the Immigration Restriction Bill 1901), railway rates, taxation, referenda, legislation, the Judiciary Bill, the Commonwealth Salaries Bill, preferential trade, water conservation, industrial arbitration, war, internationalism, peace treaties, and Australian territories. There are also two pamphlets, The Principles of Democracy and Kinship and Relations in World Politics, both of which were written by Glynn.
- Immediate source of acquisition:
- The Glynn papers were received between 1958 and 1973 from Mrs J. O'Collins, Father G. O'Collins and Mrs J.S. Peters of Melbourne and Mr Aiden McMahon Glynn of Ireland. The marriage proposal from Glynn to Abigal Dynon was presented by Professor Maev O'Collins and Moira Peters in 1996.
